Thursday Weekly Inspirational Post

Hello and happy Thursday!

Today's post is one from Ching Chou Kuik's newest floral line of images and one of the first she released called Lily who can be found here.  Hope you may want to play along with the current challenge and maybe win a digi or two.  The latest challenge can be found here.  This piece is a mixed media piece that came together.  Besides roses, stargazer lillies are my next favorite flower.  This gorgeous gal was colored with Copics and I used some various stencils and sprays to create the canvas around her.  I also enjoy masks and masquerade themes so I added some bling to create a masquerade effect.

Sylvia's view on "Iris"

Hello my lovelies!

Today I want to share my view on 

"Iris"

I love flowers.

And I love the way how Ching-Chou Kuik

has ensembled the girl with the Iris flowers. 

I was surfing on the net... looking for some inspirations 

for the colors of the Iris flowers.

Well.. a lot of color combo's came on the net.

But... I decided to go for the traditional colors...

Why...?

Well ... purple... that is my favorite color.

So here is my view on Iris.

I fuzzy cutted the image and I matted her on a 

piece of paper that I have distressed with Distress Inks.

I distressed it like it looks like clouds.

Here is a close up of the colored image.

I have colored the image with my 

Faber Castell Polychromos Pencils and oderless minerals. 

The backround papers are made by myself with Distress Inks.

I matted it on white cardstock and added 

a little sentiment on the side.

"Have a lovely day"

Vannessa's Inspiration Post - Tuesday 16th December 2014

Good morning and welcome to my inspiration post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration and Challenge blog this week. I'm still in Christmas card mode so I have used the gorgeous Christmas Cuddle from the Ching-Chou Etsy store to make a card for my mother-in-law's cat loving friend. I love this image and it would be perfect for a Hallowe'en card too with a black cat!

She has been coloured in with copics and a few dots of Molotow paint pen added to her hair. Hope you like her!

Kym's Inspiration Post - Monday 15 December 2014

Hello! This is Kym here again.  

It is time for me to show you another inspiration post.

 
 I decided to use the Ching-Chou Kuik digital stamp called "Sweet December" for my hidden tag Christmas card.

 I have coloured my image in with my Graph'it pens mainly keeping to a non-traditional Christmas colour scheme of blue and purple.

This picture and the one above shows the sentiment on each side of the tag.

New Leaves

Hello everyone, Karina here to show you another inspiration with one of the newest fab images from Ching Chou. I had a play with New Leaves and I LOVE her, not only because I also love owls.

The coloration is made with Copics and I am quite happy how it turned out.

OK so on to my card and this week I have used the digi  Gingerbread Man Parade

I have used spectrum noir pens and pencils, some grate papers and used the scan n cut to do the sentiment and gingerbread men I coloured the hearts with h20's

Christmas Cuddle

Hello CCK fans!  Today's inspirational post is from one of the recent new releases called Christmas Cuddle which can be found in Ching Chou's Etsy shop  here along with many of her other beautiful images for your coloring pleasure.  While you are here won't you consider playing along in the current challenge which can be found here.  The theme is Christmas/New Years.  Hope to see your beautiful creations!

You may have seen this gorgeous gal in our the current challenges inspiration of Christmas theme on the challenge blog.  I just wanted to write a little more about her here.  I used Copics to color her in traditional holiday colors  and a Gelly roll Stardust pen to add some sparkle.  I edged around the image with a Memento pad and added some fun embellishments for finishing touches.

Sylvia's view on "Sweet December"

Hello my beloved CCK followers!

Today I want to share my view on "Sweet December"

I just love the serenity of this digital image.

It makes me want to dream about a "Sweet December". 

As some of you might know... purple is my favorite color.

And ofcourse I could not resist to work with my colors.

I colored the image with promarkers and faber castell polychromos pencils.

I love to combine those colormediums.

For the background papers, I have used my distress inks techniques. 

For extra accents, I have embossed the papers with a embossing folder.

It gives a nice texture to the papers. 

I've punched some snowflakes and added my colored rhinestones onto it.

( you can easily color your rhinestones with any alcoholmarker you have)

For some extra sparkles I added some Star Dust Stickles, it is my favorite kind of sparkles.

This is a tri-fold card that I have cutted out with my Silhouette Cameo.

I think you can easily cut this yourself with a cutting machine.

But with my poorly hands, the Silhouette has became a big friend of mine. 

Ching-Chou Kuik has designed some gorgeous new images.

Vannessa's Inspiration Post - Tuesday 9th December 2014

Good morning everyone. It's my turn to hopefully inspire you all and today I am using one of the new, gorgeous digis called Sweet December and she is just beautiful, isn't she?! I wanted to give her a very wintery feel so kept her hair white, only adding a few flicks here and there of grey to add a bit of texture to it. Love how it came out! She is coloured with Copics.

I think this digi stamp will also be great for other seasonal cards too - just need to change the colours.

Kym's Inspiration Post - Monday 8 December 2014

Hello! This is Kym here again.  

It is time for me to show you another inspiration post.

 Here is a card and box that I have made using an image called "Aurora Woods" which is available in Ching-Chou Kuik's Etsy Store.  Isn't she a beauty with her reindeer hat on?  

 As this card is going to be hand delivered I can go "over the top" with embellishments.  I see cards on blogs/Facebook/entered into challenges and just wonder how much they cost to post to people.  It's sad that we have to think about this when making our handmade cards but it is something we have to think about.

Winter Warmth

Hello everyone, today I want to show you some more details of my card I used as DT inspiration for our actual challenge. I used 'Winter Warmth' for my project and decided to keep her in traditional Christmas colors such as red and green.

The coloration is made with Copics. Below you can see a close up of it...

Inspiration Post - Fernanda - Friday 5 December 2014

This piece I did using the beautiful Snowflake angel ....I used a small canvas 6 by 8..... used craft glue to add the snowflake pattern...then I gesso everything ....after I used glimmer mist to add the background colors I wanted....when dried I added the image that I colored with copics...and added stickles accents ...sealed everything them I added some shabby chic embossing for texture then I used some rhinestones I had nought a while ago on one my local craft stores....hope you like it...any questions always feel free to find me and msg me ....

Thursday's Inspirational post

Hello CCK fans!  Today's inspirational post is from one of the recent new releases called Gingerbread Man Parade which can be found in Ching Chou's Etsy shop here along with many of her other beautiful images for your coloring pleasure.  While you are here won't you consider playing along in the current challenge which can be found here.  The theme is Christmas/New Years.  Hope to see your beautiful creations!

Gingerbread Man Parade was colored with Copics. I used chalks for the background on the image and added some jewel accents on the gingerbread people.  I used a memento ink pad to edge the paper as well as some sparkly flaky glitter to give a look of snow.  I used a Kaleidacolor pad called Vineyard.   For the backdrop paper I made a glitter background using two different colors of glitter and a stencil.  Hope you are enjoying the joys of the season!

Sylvia's view on "Winter Warmth"

Hello dearest CCK friends! 

After a little break, I decided to come back...

Today I want to share my view on 

"Winter Warmth

Is'nt she gorgeous with her little friend?

I colored this duo with my Promarkers and the

Faber Castell Polychromos Pencils.

I wanted to make a different cardshape.

This gives a real winter scenery.

I have made my own background papers 

with Distress Inks and some salt to 

give it a beautiful snowy texture onto it.

It is very simple to do.

You need (cheap) aquarell papers, distress inks and water..

For the finishing touch, you add whilst the paper is still wet,

some salt... The only thing you have to do... is to let it dry naturally.

This gives the best result.

Oh... and you need not to be afraid of dirty hands... LOL. 

I have clear rhinestones (was given to me from a dear friend),

and to add some color onto it, I have used my promarkers.

This matches perfectly to the papers I have made.

Okay dearest friends.. I hope I have inspired you with
