Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Inspiration and Challenge Blog - January 2016 - Use Something New

Happy New Year to everyone.

We hope you all had a good Christmas and wish you a happy, healthy and hopefully crafty 2016.

Some sad news to start off the post unfortunately.  Sadly Alica has decided to step down from the Blog Design Team.  We wish her all the very best and will miss her gorgeous creations.  Thank you for all your hard work whilst on the Design Team.
*****************************************
Thank you to all those crafters that entered last month's challenge of "a birthday card".  It was a busy time of the year, but we still had some gorgeous creations.

As mentioned anyone that entered that used an image from the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamp Etsy Store would get a second entry into the draw.

The winner of 2 digital images from the Etsy Store is:

and that card has been created by Mel.  This is the card that Mel has made:

Congratulations Mel.  Please pop on over to the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamp Etsy Store and e-mail me with your choice of 2 images. Make sure you take your Monthly Challenge Winner badge from the sidebar to add to your blog.

Every month there is an "Artist's Choice Award". The winner of this award will be picked by Ching-Chou Kuik herself. To be in with a chance of winning this award you need to use one of Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps from her Etsy Store for your card/creation. At the end of the month Ching-Chou Kuik will look at all those cards/creations using one of her digital stamps from the Etsy Store and pick one winner that will get the "Artist's Choice Award" and will also get to pick 5 digital stamps of their choice from the Etsy Store.

Ching-Chou Kuik certainly had a lot of beautiful cards/creations to choose from but the winner of the "Artist's Choice Award" for December 2015 is number 5 which is:
and that card is by Lorraine.

Congratulations Lorraine.  Please pop on over to the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamp Etsy Store and e-mail me with your choice of 5 images. Make sure you take your Monthly Challenge Winner badge from the sidebar to add to your blog.

Now is time to reveal the name of the Guest Designer. Out of the names that said they would like to be considered in being a Guest Designer, the lucky winner for the Guest Designer for February 2016 is No 3 and that card was created by Annie:
Congratulations Annie.  I will be in touch with you shortly to give you details of the February Challenge and for you to let me know what image you would like to use for the challenge as a "thank you" for being the Guest Designer.

For those that were not lucky there is always next month.
*****************************************
Today sees the start of another challenge.

For the month of January 2016 the challenge is "Use something new".  That could be something you got new for Christmas e.g. stamp, ribbon, inks, embellishments etc.

The first card I have to show you is from Erica who is January's Guest Designer:
Don't forget if you would like to be a Guest Designer for a forthcoming challenge please remember to add "GDT" after you name in the InLinkz or add a comment in the comment box.
*****************************************
The first card is made by Ann-Marie who is one of the Facebook Design Team members but has created something for this challenge:
This second card has been created by Facebook Design Team member Laura:
A third Facebook Design Team member, Samantha, has created something for us as well:
Time to show you now the cards/creations made by the Blog Design Team Members:

Using the image Star's Dream

Using the image Bon Voyage My Love

Using the image "Let's go party"

Using the image "Steampunk Dragonfly"

Using the image Boston Terrier

Using the image Carnation Fairy

Using the image Polar Snow.

The rules of the monthly challenge are very basic and can be found in the blog sidebar or in a page at the top of the blog.

It would be lovely if you could play along with the challenge this month.

You might or might not be aware but they have been some stunning additions to the Etsy Store recently and these include:
Here is a set of 4 gorgeous Christmas themed images which are in the store.  Yes Christmas has been and gone but it's never too early to start for Christmas 2016!!
Here is a set of 4 animal themed images that are in the store.  These are perfect to be used all year round.
Here is a set of 4 valentine themed images available in the store.  It won't be long before Valentine's Day is upon us but these images are suitable to be used all year through.
Here is a set of two images called "Snowflake Imprint" and "Lighting Up" and these are available in the shop as a set of two still at the moment.

This is a set of 4 Love Fairy images and you will get One and Only Heart, Red Hearts, Purple Hearts and Fading Love.  The set of 4 stamps are available at a cost of £8.30.

There is an amazing array of beautiful digital stamps in the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Etsy Store.

Why don't you pop on over and take a look?

*****************************************
There is also a Facebook Group where all new members are very welcome. The Facebook Group can be found HERE. Here crafters will share their creations made with a Ching-Chou Kuik image. On the Facebook Group there will also be the details of the monthly Facebook Challenge and details of any sales etc.

Ching-Chou Kuik is now a proud sponsor over at the Passionate Paper Creations and Friends Facebook Group.

Why not pop on over and take a look.
Over at Kit and Clowder you will find details of various on-line classes that you can buy and participate in. Ching-Chou Kuik is one of the sponsors. At the moment the various classes are as follows:

Alcohol Markers - Clothing Technique Class
Alcohol Markers - Lightsource Technique Class
Alcohol Markers - All About Animals Class
Alcohol Markers - Creative Confidence Class
Alcohol Markers - Whimsical Class
Watercolours - Distress Ink Class

If you want to find out a bit more about colouring techniques pop on over to Kit and Clowder and have a look.

Don't forget if you would like to be a Guest Designer for a forthcoming challenge please remember to add "GDT" after you name in the InLinkz or add a comment in the comment box.

Please remember when linking to this challenge you MUST link to your blog post and not just your actual blog.

As you have taken the time to create something to enter into the challenge the Design Team members like to leave you comments but this is made more difficult when they have to look through your blog to find the right card/creation to comment on.

Thank you for your understanding.

I forgot to add my card twice since I used a Ching Chou Kuik image. I just added it again on No. 22. I hope that is ok. Thanks.
