Vannessa's Final Inspiration post - Saturday 23rd June 2018

Good morning and welcome to my final post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration and Challenge blog team. I have decided to step down from this design team, partly because my mojo is not what it used to be and partly because I feel I need a bit of a break from design team crafting, which in turn adds extra pressure at times to create, which again can make me lose that mojo!

I have been part of the team for almost 4 years now and have loved being part of it. The images are just gorgeous and I know I will always use them in my crafting. I would like to just say a huge thank you to Ching-Chou and to Kym for being fabulous ladies to work with! Thank you also to all the other design team members I have worked with over the years - you have all been a great inspiration!

Anyway on to my final card using the gorgeous Aloha, Lady. I love this image and these colours together!

Vannessa's Inspiration Post - Saturday 16th June 2018

Good morning and welcome to my inspiration post for this week for Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration and Challenge blog. This week I am using the gorgeous Peony Dawn grayscale version and the DT were challenged this week to use either pink or blue. No brainer for me really - pink all the way, although I enjoy using blue as well.

I kept this card fairly simply as I printed the image fairly large. I do love how this one came out! Not sure if you can tell, but her wings are covered in clear Wink of Stella which adds such a nice shimmer to the card.

Vannessa's Challenge Post - Saturday 9th June 2018

Good Morning and welcome to my DT post for the new challenge from the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration and Challenge blog. This month our challenge is called Cats or Dogs and we would love to see your projects using one of the images in Ching-Chou Kuik's store, but you can of course use another image if you so wish.

I used the gorgeous Lavender Night Adventure and went for a pastel colour scheme this time. It feels like an absolute age since I last coloured hair in blonde and really do love this colour combo!

Vannessa's Inspiration Post - Saturday 26th May 2018

Good Morning and welcome to my DT post for Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration and Challenge blog. This week I set the DT challenge of making your own flowers and I pulled out some long owned, but hardly used felt form Papertrey Ink for this card. I also used the gorgeous Spring Flower for this one.

Anyway, here she is...Can you see all the sparkle on her wings? I finally got a new clear Wink of Stella pen which is so much more glittery than the last one was! Might just be because it is new though!

Vannessa's Inspiration Post - Saturday 19th May 2018

Good Morning and welcome to this week's inspiration post for Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps. This week I have chosen to use the gorgeous Little Daisy.

The DT were challenged to use buttons on their projects this week and initially I used the yellow buttons in the middle of the rose trim, but they looked a bit like fried eggs! So I moved them to the butterflies and they look a bit better! I just didn't want to add buttons on the edges of the card, where I would normally add gems or pearls.

Vannessa's Challenge Post - Saturday 12th May 2018

Good morning and welcome to my post for the monthly challenge from Ching-Chou Kuik Stamps and Inspiration blog. This month our challenge is for you to add pearls or gems to your project.

For this card I used the gorgeous Keep In Faith and went with a yellow and green colour combo. Not a colour combo I would usually go for, but one which works really well with the sunflowers in this digital stamp.

Vannessa's Inspiration post - Saturday 21st April 2018

Good morning and welcome to my DT post this week for Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration and Challenge blog. This week the DT were challenged to use a charm on their project and I added a little one hanging on my bow. I used the gorgeous image Poppy Love and love how this one came out!

Vannessa's Inspiration Post - Saturday 14th April 2018

Good morning and welcome to my inspiration post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration and Challenge blog. This week the DT were challenged to a monochrome colour scheme, so I just had to use my favourite pinks on this one and used the gorgeous and suitably named Rose image for my card, which is available in this set of 4 Girls with Flowers.

Vannessa's April Challenge Project - Saturday 7th April 2018

Good Morning and welcome to my post for the new challenge from the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration and Challenge blog. This month or challenge is for you to use your favourite colours. I have lots of colours I love, but tend to use lots of pink and purple in my cards, so I went for a pink, purple and grey combo using the gorgeous Misty Moon Grayscale image.

I managed to get a silver frame for my A4 sized colouring. I will admit it took me hours to do especially all the sky using little dots, but I love how it came out! This one is going on my bedroom wall once I find some nails!

This gorgeous image has been coloured with Copics and the sky is coloured with pearlescent chalks. You can find out more about her here in my blogpost.

Vannessa's Inspiration Post - Saturday 24th March 2018

Good morning and welcome to my inspiration post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration and Challenge blog this week. The DT were all challenged by Dianne this week to use the colour green as the main colour for their project, which is not a colour I use as a main colour very often if I'm honest!

I chose to use the gorgeous Little Sprout for my card and added some white and yellow to break up all the green layers a bit.

Vannessa's Inspiration Post - Saturday 17th March 2018

Good Morning and welcome to my inspiration post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration and Challenge blog this week. The DT were challenge to be inspired by a nursery rhyme or song for our inspiration posts this week and I chose to use the adorable Star Wish for my card and took the nursery rhyme Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star as my inspiration.

I decided to go for an all blue combo with touches of silver, but I just could not find any patterned papers with stars on it the right colours. Luckily I had a tidied up a box of bits last weekend and found these winter themed papers which worked pretty well.

Vannessa's March Challenge Card - Saturday 10th March

Good Morning and welcome to my post for the new challenge from Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration and Challenge blog. This month our challenge is Spring or Easter and I chose to use the gorgeous Girl In Spring for my card.

I totally love the colour of her dress - it looks a bit darker, more emerald green in real life and it was really hard to find any matching patterned papers for her. I do think these paler colours set the image off really well though.

Vannessa's Inspiration Post - Saturday 24th February 2018

Good afternoon and welcome to my inspiration post for Ching-Chou Kuik today. Huge apologies that my card is so late in the day! I honestly thought I had created this card and written my blogpost and when I checked in my planner this morning, the image was still in there uncoloured! Argh! I am usually very organised, but being on holiday last week meant I was not! Just glad today is Saturday and I can leave the school work until tomorrow!

Anyway on to my card. I used the gorgeous Free Spring for the week's inspiration and used some new mermaid themed patterned papers as inspiration for the colour combo as well.

Vannessa's Inspiration Post - Saturday 17th February 2018

Good morning and welcome to my inspiration post for Ching-Chou Kuik today. I decided to use the gorgeous Fading Hearts image this week from the Valentine Love Fairy setI went for a softer colour combo today and went for a distressed edge look as well. I think this style really suits this image. What do you think?

Vannessa's Challenge Post - Saturday 10th February 2018

Good Morning and welcome to my DT post for this month's challenge from the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration and Challenge blog. This month our challenge is the seasonal All You need Is Love challenge so think valentine's, hearts, roses, romance etc.

I chose to use the gorgeous Red Hearts stamp from the Valentine Love Fairy Set. I went for a red and black combo initially and then decided that the sky couldn't be grey as well as it would all just blend into one if I did so chose to make a blue night sky and I think the image really pops against that blue. What you do think?

Vannessa's Inspiration Post - Saturday 20th January 2018

Good Morning and welcome to my latest inspiration post for Ching-Chou Kuik. This week I am sharing an older image that I had previously printed and had never used called Rainbow in Eyes.

I also used some of my older patterned papers to try and use them up a bit (my craft area is in our bedroom and is more than over flowing so I need to try and use some stuff up quickly, so I can actually put all the new stuff I keep buying away properly!)

Vannessa's Inspiration Challenge - Saturday 13th January 2018

Good Morning and welcome to my inspiration post for Ching-Chou Kuik. This week the DT were challenged by our DT leader Kym to use spots and stripes - a nice easy one!

I chose to use the gorgeous Dahlia and an old favourite colour combo of mine using Stampin' Up colours of Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive. Love this green and purpley-red together. I think the dark brown hair goes perfectly with them as well.

Vannessa's Challenge Card - Saturday 6th January 2018

Good Morning and welcome to my DT post for the brand new challenge from the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration and Challenge blog. Our challenge this month is called New Beginnings and looking at my card you may be thinking that a Christmas card doesn't really signify a new beginning, but it is more of a new intention. I was still rushing around making Christmas cards at the last minute again so I thought I would a new year's resolution of making at least 1 Christmas card each month. At least that way I will have a few piled up ready for the holiday season this year!

I have used the gorgeous Northern Blessing on this card and added lots of glitter to all the snowflake die cuts.

Vannessa's Inspiration Post - Saturday 23rd December 2017

Good Morning and welcome to my last Ching-Chou Kuik inspiration post of the year! I cannot believe how fast 2017 has flown by and all the changes, both good and bad, that have happened this year. Let's hope that my good luck from the end of this year carries on through to next year!

Anyway on to my card...I used the gorgeous Summer Goddess for a pretty thank you card this week. I found these butterfly papers in The Range not so long ago and haven't used them until today so my colours are more or less matching to those.

Vannessa's Inspiration Post - Saturday 16th December 2017

Good Morning and welcome to my inspiration post this week for Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration and Challenge blog. This week I am using the gorgeous So Long and went for one of my favourite colour combos to make a sweet thank you cards ready for all those people who need a thank you after Christmas.

The DT were challenged to add buttons to their projects this week and I dug out some old retired Stampin' Up ones. Buttons are not a thing I generally use on my cards unless it's for a masculine card, but I do like these little flower shaped ones. Shame I don't have many left and they are retired now too.

And here she is...
