Its Lozzy here today with inspirational post and reminder post about our Challenge for December.  For my DT card iv used Ching Chou Kuik beautiful image called  Snowflake Angel

Snowflake Angel by Sylvia

Hello peeps,

Today I would like to share a little keepsake piece that I've created on

a tiny little canvas (10x15 cm) with the gorgeous image

"Snowflake Angel" 

I started to gesso the little canvas with white gesso.

This is important, because I will add watercolor to it, 

so it stays on it's place.

Than I added a bit of salt on the wet watercolors.

The salt will take care for the watercolors, it will soak the colors.

You create a great effect with this, it almost looks like little snowflakes!

Than I used a stencil and modeling paste to create 

the shapes on the canvas.

Let it dry. I prefer air drying.

Than I added some metallic shimmer aqrylic paints for the shimmer.

That gives the effect of a icy undertone.

I cutted the image and adhered it with foamtape on the 

canvas to create depth.

Some little icy gemstones, and it's all done!

I had a lot of fun making this tiny canvas.

Showcase Cards - Sunday 1 February 2015

It is time to show you our next Showcase Cards/Creations.

This time I am going to showcase some additional cards/creations made by Ching-Chou Kuik herself and the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Blog Challenge Design Team.

 Ching-Chou Kuik recently showed on the Facebook Group the work in progress until she came up with the final image "Embrace the Ocean" coloured with watercolours.

I do apologise for the bubbles added to the images but Ching-Chou Kuik's work needs to be protected.

This is a card that Linda has made using "Snowflake Angel".

This is a card Dianne has made using the image "Crimson Holly".

Here is a card that Vanessa has made using the image "Lil Bookworm Fairy".

This is a card that Linda has made using "New leaves".

This is a card I have made (Kym) using the image "Dandelion Field".

Well you have got to agree there is a beautiful collection of cards that the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Blog Design Team have shown you.

Hope you also enjoyed seeing Ching-Chou Kuik's step-by-step pictorial of how she coloured the "Embrace the Ocean" image.

Well that is the end of the Showcase cards for January.  Tomorrow sees the start of the inspiration posts for the Design Team.  For week one we are following the Monthly Blog Challenge topic of "torn to pieces" ie something torn on your card/creation.

Showcase Card - Sunday 4 January 2015

It is time for you to see another Showcase Cards/Creations.  This is our last showcase until the end of the month.

Margaret Ashby entered the challenge last month over at the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Inspiration and Challenge Blog with this gorgeous creation.

She has used the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamp called "Snowflake Angel".  I love the way that Margaret has the angel sitting on her sentiment border.

Inspiration Post - Fernanda - Friday 5 December 2014

This piece I did using the beautiful Snowflake angel ....I used a small canvas 6 by 8..... used craft glue to add the snowflake pattern...then I gesso everything ....after I used glimmer mist to add the background colors I wanted....when dried I added the image that I colored with copics...and added stickles accents ...sealed everything them I added some shabby chic embossing for texture then I used some rhinestones I had nought a while ago on one my local craft stores....hope you like it...any questions always feel free to find me and msg me ....

Vannessa's Inspiration Post - Tuesday 2nd December 2014

Good morning everyone and welcome to my post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration and Challenge blog. We started a new challenge yesterday and the DT have made some absolutely stunning creations to inspire you to join in with the theme of Christmas/New Year.

I used the beautiful Snowflake Angel, which was a new release last month and can be found in the Ching-Chou Kuik Etsy store here. I coloured her up in shades of blue for a cool wintery feel and surrounded her with lots of snowflakes. Hope you like her.
